The Omega Constellation Chronometer Calendar Ref. 2943 from 1958 is an extraordinary vintage watch and an impressive piece of watchmaking history. Almost 70 years old and yet in a remarkably beautiful condition – a specimen like this is rarely found.
Particularly noteworthy, in addition to its excellent condition, are the original Omega box and the existing Wempe service documents. The watch was freshly serviced by us in August 2026 and, after the revision, boasts excellent rate values.
An Exceptionally Well-Preserved Constellation
At first glance, this Constellation impresses with its exceptional condition. The 34 mm stainless steel case is rated as Like New and presents itself as exceptionally clean and harmonious.
The bezel is also in Like New condition. The case has been professionally cleaned and highly polished, while the bezel has also been polished to a high sheen.
The screwed case back is also in Mint condition and underscores the exceptionally good overall impression of this almost 70-year-old watch.
Classic White Dial
The white dial is in Very Good condition and perfectly matches the elegant appearance of the Constellation.
It is protected by the original Omega acrylic glass, which is in Mint condition. Especially for a vintage watch from 1958, the preservation of the original glass is a particularly nice detail and contributes to the authentic character of this specimen.
The combination of a light dial, polished stainless steel case, and classic proportions makes the watch an exceptionally timeless vintage timepiece.
Omega Caliber 504
Inside works the automatic Omega Caliber 504. According to the manufacturer, this classic movement has a power reserve of approximately 46 hours.
As part of the revision, the movement was completely cleaned, oiled, and regulated. Subsequently, the watch was professionally inspected and checked on the timegrapher.
The results are impressive: +2 seconds per day, an amplitude of 313°, and a beat error of only 0.2 ms. The rate values are rated as Mint and show that the movement is technically in excellent condition.
Freshly Serviced in August 2026
The Constellation was comprehensively serviced in August 2026. The movement was cleaned, oiled, and regulated. In addition, the entire watch was professionally cleaned and inspected.
The stainless steel case was highly polished and the bezel was finished accordingly. The original acrylic glass was professionally polished.
The refurbishment is rounded off by a new leather strap, which perfectly complements the elegant character of this classic Constellation.
Original Box and Wempe Documents
A special highlight of this offer is the existing historical scope of delivery. The watch is offered with its original Omega box.
In addition, Wempe service documents are available, providing additional historical documentation for this extraordinary watch. Especially for an almost 70-year-old vintage Omega, such documents are an interesting addition for collectors.
