Omega Genève Ref. 166.099 – Steel and Silver Dial from 1972
The Omega Genève Ref. 166.099 dates from 1972 and combines a 35 mm steel case with a silver dial and a steel bracelet. It is powered by the automatic Omega calibre 1481 and has recently been serviced. An understated everyday classic whose case and bracelet have been freshly refinished.
Case, Dial and Movement
The case measures 35 mm and is made of steel. It has been professionally refinished and polished to a high shine. The 20 cm bracelet has been renewed on the satin-brushed sections in the sense of a refresh: the satin surfaces have been refinished so that they look even again. The original acrylic crystal sits over the dial and has been freshly polished.
The silver dial shows minimal patina and a small stain at 3 o'clock. In addition, a small part of the printed "u" in the word "automatic" is missing. These marks are part of the character of a watch of this age and should be taken into account when assessing its condition.
Inside runs calibre 1481 with automatic winding. The movement has been cleaned, oiled and regulated. The measured values are good: the rate deviation is -8 seconds per day, the amplitude is 315° and the power reserve is 42 hours.
