Omega Constellation Chronometer Ref. 168.004 – Steel and Silver from 1966
This Omega Constellation Chronometer from 1966 has a silver-coloured dial in a 35 mm steel case. The automatic calibre 561 has been cleaned, oiled and regulated, and the case looks clean and well kept after refurbishment.
Classic proportions, freshly refurbished
The Constellation is regarded as one of Omega's best-known chronometer lines, and reference 168.004 represents the plain steel version from the mid-1960s. At 35 mm, the case is compact by today's standards, which suits the understated look of the silver dial.
On this watch, the case has been high-gloss polished and the bezel brought to a high shine. The acrylic crystal has been polished; it is not the original crystal, which is noted here in the interest of transparency. It also comes with a new leather strap measuring 23.5 cm in length. The movement has been professionally cleaned and tested. On measurement, it shows a rate deviation of +1 s/d at an amplitude of 238°, and the power reserve is 50 hours.
